One trick we’ve found at ISC for meetings, both company meetings and community meetings, is a shared workspace helps. Having played with many tools, we have settled on Etherpad: http://etherpad.org/ because its open source, lightweight, and allows everyone to brainstorm when appropriate, or just watch the minutes go by. This helps our very multi-lingual meetings go more smoothly (we conduct them in English, but sometimes 3/4 of the room are not native speakers and some struggle with the rate of dialogue in their second, third, or fourth language). We like that we can host our own instance, but there are lots of hosted ones.
